Live music from this year

1 min read

2019 went by super quickly and I kinda feel like I slept through it. But it was for sure the year I saw the most live music -

  1. Goldlink - O2 Academy Brixton
  2. Anderson Paak - Alexandra Palace
  3. EARTHGANG (with Innanet James as the opener) - Electric Brixton
  4. Tierra Whack - Village Underground
  5. Erykah Badu & Jhene Aiko - the O2
  6. The Lumineers (not my taste but a super fun concert bc of the company) - the O2
  7. OMD (with my dad) - Eventim Apollo Hammersmith
  8. Orchestral Rendition of Kanye's College Dropout - XOYO
  9. Orchestral Rendition of Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy - XOYO
  10. Noname (this one being ranked low has nothing to do with Noname, and everything to do with our group taking firecracker edibles and having a nightmare time of it) - O2 Shepherd's Bush
  11. Khruangbin (ranked low because I went by myself and was sober) - BST Hyde Park
  12. Blue Lab Beats tribute to Guru's Jazzmatazz - Jazz Cafe
  13. BBC Proms (Angélique Kidjo & organ concert) - Royal Albert Hall

There were also a couple concerts I missed and wish I went to:

  • Bas
  • Saba
  • Samm Henshaw
  • JID
  • KAYTRANADA (sold out in literally 15 seconds)
